EXOMIND, neuroplasticity and the future of mental wellness
Research is exciting. It is also unfinished. Everything below carries a status label, because 'being studied' and 'proven effective' are not the same claim and shouldn't be presented as though they were.

How to read this page
Evidence status, stated plainly.
Each entry is tagged so you can tell at a glance whether it reflects established evidence, a cleared indication, active clinical research, an emerging hypothesis, pending results, or an investigational use. Investigational does not mean available, and it does not mean effective.
01
Established TMS research
Peer reviewed research and evidence regarding transcranial magnetic stimulation and major depressive disorder.
- FDA cleared indication
Repetitive TMS for major depressive disorder
Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation has been studied for decades in major depressive disorder and is used clinically within cleared indications following appropriate evaluation.
- Established evidence
Cortical stimulation and network activity
A substantial body of literature examines how externally applied magnetic fields influence activity in targeted cortical regions and connected networks.
- Established evidence
Tolerability and adverse event profiles
Published TMS literature describes commonly reported effects such as scalp discomfort and headache, along with rare but serious risks that screening is designed to reduce.
02
EXOMIND specific research
Clinical studies evaluating EXOMIND and ExoTMS technology.
- Clinical research
ExoTMS device studies
Device specific clinical studies evaluate the ExoTMS applicator and protocols. Review manufacturer documentation and registered study records for design, endpoints and status.
- Results pending
Protocol and session parameter studies
Studies examining session length, frequency and treatment course structure. Where results are not yet published, we say so rather than implying a conclusion.
03
Emerging research
Areas being investigated but not necessarily established or within FDA cleared indications.
- Emerging
Neuroplasticity and durability of response
Research continues into how stimulation relates to neuroplastic change and how long any observed changes may persist.
- Investigational
Applications beyond cleared indications
Investigational uses appear in the literature and in registered trials. Investigational is not the same as effective, and we do not present these as available treatments.
The honest part
What we still don't know.
We cannot predict who will respond, how durable any response will be, or how neuromodulation will ultimately be sequenced alongside therapy, medication and metabolic care. Those are open questions in the field. We would rather tell you that than fill the gap with marketing.
Questions about the evidence?
Our clinical team is glad to discuss what research does and does not support for your specific situation.

EXOMIND and transcranial magnetic stimulation are not appropriate for every individual. Treatment decisions should be made following evaluation by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. Individual outcomes vary.
Some applications discussed within the Learning Center may be investigational, emerging or outside the device's FDA cleared indication. The existence of ongoing or completed research does not establish that a treatment is safe or effective for a particular use.
You don't have to decide today.
You just need good information. If you'd like to understand whether EXOMIND may be appropriate for you, our team is here to answer your questions.
